The VALZEO project is making significant strides in transforming agro-industrial waste into innovative zeolite-based materials for environmental remediation and biofuel production. As we advance through the project timeline, our team has successfully developed and validated high-performance materials designed for water treatment and sustainable energy applications.
Our latest research efforts have led to the optimization of silicon extraction from rice husk ash (RHA), a key raw material for synthesizing advanced functional materials. The newly developed composite materials exhibit exceptional pollutant adsorption and catalytic capabilities, demonstrating strong potential for real-world applications.
Beyond material development, VALZEO is committed to knowledge transfer and collaboration. Through secondments, workshops, and Science Cafés, our researchers have actively engaged in cross-sector partnerships, fostering innovation and reinforcing Europe’s leadership in circular economy solutions.
With pilot-scale testing on the horizon, the next phase of the project will focus on validating these materials in industrial settings, ensuring their scalability and economic viability.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to push the boundaries of sustainable materials research!
